• Is hair straightening really permanent?

  : Yes, Shiseido Straightening System is permanent on the hair that is treated. However, your new hair will grow back with its natural texture, therefore it will be necessary to eventually straighten the new growth. We recommend a touch-up every 3-6 months

• My hair has been coloured/highlighted. Can I still have it straightened?

  : Yes Shiseido have created different formulas to suit every hair type even if your hair is sensitized. However we encourage you to be honest about the history of your hair. It’s important to do so as we will need to determine the correct solution to get the very best results.

• How long does the straightening process normally take?

  : It is a complex process therefore it does take patience. We generally allow between 2.5 – 3.5 hours. Long or thick hair may take extra time.

• What I need to concern after straightening?

  : Only for 48 hours during which time you should not do anything to your hair as it is still in a neutralizing state. Avoid rubber bands, clips, and hats. Do not shampoo or wet your straightened hair during this time. You are encouraged to smooth your hair before and after sleeping as well. After the first 48 hours you may do anything you wish with your new hair.
